MRS. FENDERSON DIED SUDDENLY AT SACO HOME

Mrs. Mary J. Fenderson, widow of Alexander S. Fenderson, one of the most widely known and highly respected residents of Saco, died quite suddenly about 2 o'clock this morning at her home, 48 School street. Mrs. Fenderson had been quite ill for some months, although she had apparently recovered and last night seemed as well as usual. Early this morning she experienced a sudden attack of illness from which heart trouble developed and she expired shortly after.

She was a woman of much prominence and was possessed of many admirable qualities which endeared her to many friends. Her death will come as a shock to all with whom she was aquainted.

Mrs. Fenderson was born in Kennebunkport in 1834 and was the daughter of James and Mary (Russ) Wakefield. She had been a resident of Saco for many years.

She was a regular attendant at the Unitarian church of Saco and was actively interested in all the work of the church societies. She took a prominent part in all movements for the upbuilding of the church and in these circles especially her death will cause profound sorrow.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Thomas H. Johnson, and two sons, James H. and Adney J. Fenderson, all of Saco.
