Mel Almaroad, 69, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Newman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Almaroad was born February 3, 1943, in Calhoun County to Mickey and Ruth Almaroad. Mel was a retired machinist from General Motors. He enjoyed golf, bass fishing and Alabama football. He loved his family and lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Almaroad; two sisters, Beckie Barnett (Ron) and Claudia Walden (Mark); and 12 nieces and nephews.
