She was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted wife. She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church in Henderson. She had been active with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts through the years as a leader. She had also taught ceramics.
She was born in Los Angeles on Jan. 20, 1928, to the late Ilor and Jenny Lee Flickner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene K. Linney Jr., who died May 7, 2011; her daughter, Patricia Ann Linney Anderson; and three brothers, Billy, Frank and Ilor Jr. Flickner.
Survivors include four children, Pamela Eblen and her husband, Bruce, Jacky Bryan and her husband, Kendel, Eugene "E.K." Linney III and his wife, Cynthia, and John Richard Linney, all of Henderson; two sisters, Mary Helen Jones of Corydon and Betty Lou Holbert of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Linney and his wife, Holly, Amber Anderson, John Linney and his wife, Katie, Hans Schmidt, Patty Schmidt, Page Schmidt and Dustin Laubner and his wife, Cydney; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. The Rev. Hollis Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice.
