James was born Aug. 9, 1957, in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Reed.
Survivors: Sons, Aaron and Josh Reed of Lake Worth; mother, Carmen Reed-Villarreal; stepfather, Sam Villarreal, both of Fort Worth; brothers, Jesse and Billy Reed of Lake Worth; sister, Joyce Villanueva of Arlington; mother of his children, Katie Reed; grandmothers, Leonar Aguilar and Yvonne Lance; three nephews; one niece; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
