OBITUARY: Harry Blankenship Rites Set Sunday

Final rites for Harry Thomas Blankenship, who died at Memorial Hospital early yesterday afternoon, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 12:30 from Townes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Ringgold. Mr. Blankenship was born in Pittsylvania County June 26, 1918, a son of the late Andrew G. and Mattie McCormick Blankenship. He had lived in Danville all his life and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was employed in No. 2 card room of Dan River Mills. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nell Turner Blankenship, and two children: Mildred Ann Blankenship and Randy Harold Blankenship, all of 843 Colquhoun Avenue. Also one brother and five sisters: Ewart Blankenship of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Bass Barker of Ringgold, Mrs. K. H. McCann of Milton, N. C., Mrs. A. F. Tuck of Buffalo Junction, Mrs. Henry McGee of Winston Salem, N. C., and Mrs. Mildred Hicks of Washington, D. C.
