Francis Bridenbaugh, familiarly called "Old Dad," a driver with the Welsh Bros. Circus, was killed in Birdsboro, Pa., on August 29, when he was caught in between the ticket wagon he was driving and a bridge. He was 62 years of age, and was from Pottstown. Billboard, September 18, 1915

Francis Breidenbach (Pottstown, Pa)Died Aug.29, 1915 63years old. The funeral of Francis Breidenbach who was killed at Birdsboro on Sunday while driving a large wagon for Welsh Brothers Circus was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his residence 224 South Street. The services were charge of Ensign William B Black, of the Salvation Army. The bearers were George and Evans Breidenbach [now Bridenbaugh], Joseph Bryan, W.H. Fosnocht, John Welsh, and Clayton Fulmer. Interment was made privately in Mt Zion Cemetary. The floral tributes were as follows: Spray of lavender asters Breidenbach [Bridenbaugh] grandchildren, Logansport, Indiana; spray of purple asters, Harry and Mary Fosnocht; spray of pink and white asters, Shuler House dining room girls; spray of rose buds for [?] baby Esther Fosnocht, blanket widow; bouquet of purple asters, Mrs. John W Fisher; floral design of horse shoe, from employees of the Welsh Brothers Circus: Pillow with the inscription:"Father", from the children; spray of pink asters, Clayton Fulmer; Funeral Director Arthur Baily of Norristown had charge.
