Actor. He was a stage performer when he entered films, making his big screen debut in “The Alien” (1915), followed by “A Piece of Amber” (1915). A veteran of over a 140 films, his credits included “Souls Adrift” (1917), “Romance” (1920), “Kid Gloves” (1929), “Jungle Menace” (1937), “Captain America” (1944) and “Bungalow 13” (1948). He was also very active in Republic Studios serials appearing in the Charlie Chan, Dick Tracy and Captain Marvel series in the 1930s. For television, he appeared in the series “Front Page Detective” and “Biff Baker, U.S.A.”. He died at heart failure at age 81.
