Sister Agatha Siehr, 96, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died early
Sunday morning, December 2, 1990 at Holy Family Convent. Funeral
services will be 10:30 am Tuesday in the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
Rev. Robert Reppen O.Praem will officiate at the Mass of Christian
Burial and burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Born Clara Siehr, August 20, 1894 in Mishicot, Wisconsin, daughter of
the late Nicholas and Magdalen Wegner Siehr. She entered the convent in
1914 and professed her vows in 1918. Sister Agatha earned a Teachers
Certificate from the State Normal School at Oshkosh. Sister taught at
Oshkosh. Sister taught in Elementary Schools in New Holstein, Clarks
Mills, Boyd, Kaukauna, Clintonville, Boyd, Kaukauna, Clintonville,
Oshkosh and Rhinelander, Wisconsin, also at Yuma, Pisinermo, Bapchule
and Topawa, Arizona.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; a brother
and sister-in-law, Clarence and Sylvia Siehr of Two Rivers; nieces;
nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Friends may call at Holy
Family Convent, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm this Monday evening, where a
prayer service will be held this evening at 7 pm in the Holy Family
Convent Chapel. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, in charge of funeral
arrangements.
