Bryce U. Graham, 84, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, and 10-11 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Morrison Funeral Home chapel, with Brother Larry Smart, Brother Mike Colston and Judge George Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Mr. Graham was a native of Franklin County and a graduate of Belgreen High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Alabama Law School in 1951. He was a lifelong Democrat, a circuit solicitor from 1952 until 1963 for Colbert and Franklin counties and a member of the Alabama State House of Representatives for Colbert and Franklin counties from 1965 until 1969. He practiced law and was a member of the Alabama Bar Association for more than 50 years and was a member of the Alabama District Attorney's Association. He served on the committee to establish the recently erected memorial in honor of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Lou Clemons Graham; his parents, Noble and Myrtle Graham; brothers, Zollie, Ralph, Raymond and Glenn Graham; his twin sister, Kathleen Spalding; and sisters, Hazel Roberts, Ruby Vickers, Nell Miller and Louise Graham. Mr. Graham is survived by his sons, Doug Aycock and wife, Pat, Bryce Graham Jr. and wife, Cassandra, and Robert Graham and Marge; daughter, Anna Lisa Graham and husband, Jack Stakley; brother, Leon Graham; grandchildren, Jane Lamb, Carla Stanfield, Brandon Harless, Bryce Graham III and Anna Beth Graham; great-grandchildren, Lucas Spencer and Graham Lamb, Emma Harless and Margee Stanfield; and special friend, Lydia Kirchner. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family expresses special thanks to the fourth-floor nurses and staff of Helen Keller Hospital, staff of Morningside and Dr. Laurence Carmichael.
