Catherine F. Irwin, 84, of Blackwood, died Wednesday at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Stratford, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Irwin (nee Vencius) made cigars at the American Tobacco Company in Philadelphia, where she worked as a relief operator. She was also a homemaker. Surviving are four sons, Joseph T. Jr. of Concord Twp, PA, James of Upper Chichester Twp, PA, Thomas of Havertown, PA, and Robert of Philadelphia, one daughter Mary Ellen Watson of Blackwood; one sister, Eva Palmer, and 19 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Sunday after 7PM and at 830AM Monday at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Monday at St. Agnes Church, Blackwood, NJ. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
