SISTER ALICE SCHROEPFER
Sister Alice Schroepfer, age 72, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died Saturday, January 4, 1992, at Holy Family Conservatory, Manitowoc.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. will preside with burial to follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Manitowoc, Wis.
She was born July 10, 1919 in Antigo, Wis., daughter of the late John and Theresa Augustin Schroepfer. She entered the convent in 1933 and professed her vows in 1938. Sister earned a B.M. degree from Alverno College, Milwaukee, WI., and her M.M. from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Sister Alice taught music St. Francis De Sales, Manistique, MI; St. Anges at Mingo Jct., OH; Holy Innocents, Manitowoc, WI; St. Ann, Menomonee, MI; St. Mary, Kaukauna, WI; Catholic Central, Menomonee, MI; St. Francis, Yuma AZ; St. Gabriel, Neenah, WI; St. Agnes, Green Bay, WI; St. John, Antigo, WI. Since 1981, Sister has been teaching music at Holy Family Conservatory, Manitowoc, WI.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Kosmatka of Mosinee, Wis.; one brother, Mr. Edward Schroepfer of Antigo, Wis.; a niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. James and Patty Belohlavek of Mosinee, Wis.
Friends may call this Monday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
