The nun was born Louisa Schroeder March 1, 1893 in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Catherine Nelson Schroeder. She was baptized as a Catholic by Father Roach O.Praem, Feb. 26, 1922 in St. Thomas Church, Zanesville, Ohio and entered the Order of Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Aug. 23, 1922 professing her vows in 1925. A registered nurse, she did nursing in Holy Family Hospital and Holy Family Convent Infirmary, Manitowoc and Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. She was also a homemaker in Pisinemo and Kamatke, Arizona, retiring to Holy Family convent in 1970.
Survivors include two nephews, Robert and Nelson C. Schroeder of Cincinnati. Friends may call at the convent after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is in charge of funeral arrangements.
