"The body of Mrs. James M. Rea was brought to Savannah Friday afternoon from Tonganoxie, Kans., where she passed away Wednesday evening, October 1, and where they had lived for the past year. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Savannah, where she had been a member all her life. Rev. A. D. Seelig gave the sermon and burial was in the Rea lot in the Savannah cemetery.

Mrs. Rea was formerly Miss Nellie Barr, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Barr, who lived south of Savannah. Mr. Barr was a pioneer of Andrew county. She was married to James M. Rea on June 2, 1910, and they have one daughter, Blanche.

Mr. Rea and daughter Blanche, who is a senior in high school at Tonganoxie, Claude Rea of Independence, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Rea, Earl and Frank Rea, all of Kansas City, were here for the services." Savannah Reporter and Andrew County Democrat (Savannah, Missouri), October 10, 1930
