Brenda S. Felling, of Terre Haute, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Union Hospital, age 62.
Brenda was born in Terre Haute on Sept. 15, 1950, the daughter of the late Harry Burk and Mary Katherine Scarbrough. Brenda graduated from Garfield High School in 1968 and would later go on to marry Herbert Lee Felling, who survives. Brenda retired from Verizon after 30 years of dedicated service. She had a heart of gold and would do anything, for anybody. Throughout her lifetime, Brenda touched many lives and enjoyed staying in contact with family, friends and co-workers. Her great sense of humor, strong will and soft heart will live on for generations to come.
In addition to her husband, Brenda leaves behind her three children, Tiffany and husband Jeff Gowin, Brandy Davidson and Brendan Felling; mother and stepfather, Mary Katherine and Lee Wright; stepchildren, Mark, Shawn, Lee and Michelle Felling; grandchildren, Dori, Laney and Austin Gowin and Kane Caruso; special stepgranddaughter, Kacie Barton, along with nine other stepgrandchildren. Brenda was the beloved sister of Cathy and husband Mark Greenwell and Mary Ellen and husband Bill Elliott. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Niki and husband Bobby Clark; niece, Krista Williams; nephews, Nic Elliott, Shane Turner, Dusty Turner, along with several dear friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 from 10 a.m. until Brenda's Funeral Ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home.
