Ewald D. Templin age 70 of Hamburg passed away July 28, 1986 at his home. He was born March 2, 1916 in Young America Township, Carver County son of the late Fred and Meta Meyer Templin. He was baptized March 12, 1916 and confirmed April 13, 1930 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hamburg.

Mr. Templin is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Fred and Stella Templin, Glencoe, Herman and Loretta Templin, Norwood and Herbert and Marcella Templin, Glencoe; sisters Elsie Bielke, Pine River, Hilda Larson, Hopkins; half sister Anna Witzke, Arlington; sister-in-law Hilda Templin, Glencoe; brother-in-law August Peris, Hector; also nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Bill Templin, sisters Clara Peris, Della Kelm and Hilda Larson, half sisters Mary Schuth and Sophie Goransson.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 31, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. from Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hamburg, Pastor Martin Koestler, officiating. Elizabeth Werner was the organist and the Emanuel Men’s choir sang “Mein Vater Ich Bin Muede” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.” The congregational hymns were “Behold A Host Arayed In White” and “Jesus Loves the Victory’s Won.” Visitation was held at Paul Funeral Home, Norwood. Interment at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Casket bearers Allen Templin, Richard Templin, Glen Templin, Earl Templin, Duane Templin, Arthur Templin.
