"Kip"

Much loved father, son, husband and brother, Jon Christopher “Kip” Draper, died January 25, 2004, in Orangeville, Emery County, Utah, doing what he loved...working and playing outdoors.

Kip was born June 3, 1963 in Paris, France, but spent his childhood and youth growing up in Centerville, Utah, graduating from Viewmont High School in 1981. He went on to earn a degree in Fisheries Biology from Utah State University.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kip served a mission in the Canada Calgary Mission. He loved the church and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. His family meant everything to him and he cherished the times he spent with them. He loved teaching his kids to hunt and fish. It was important to him that they learned to love and appreciate nature like he did. At the time of his death Kip was a conservation officer for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.

Kip is survived by his wife Cindy Albrechtsen Draper, his children Ryan, Whitney, Tappan, Kaden and Madison, who will miss him more than words can say. Also survived by his mother Patricia Draper, grandmother Opal O’Rourke, brothers Doug (Lora), Rick (Laurel), Tim (Diana), and Tad (Melaney), and in-laws Udell and Clara Albrechtsen. Preceded in death by his father Theron “Rusty” Draper, DDS.
