GRIGGS, MR. WILEY LEE, III, age 71, of Birmingham died Friday, August 23, 1996. He was retired from Birmingham Water Works; member of St. Mark C.M.E. Church; served in the U. S. Army and was a former player of the Birmingham Black Barons. Graveside service will be Saturday, August 31, at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Survivors: wife, Frances Griggs; daughters, Debrorah (John) Cunningham and Sharon E. Griggs; sons, Wiley M. Griggs, Andre Wright, and Adolphus Griggs; sister, Thelma Booker and Jennie Patton; brother, John Griggs; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
