Funeral services for Mrs. Doris "Tootsie" Trusty, 83 of West Monroe, LA, are at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Okaloosa Community with Dr. Scott Thompson officiating.
Interment follows at Antioch Cemetery, Eros, LA, under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Mrs. Trusty was born March 1, 1929 in Rayville, LA and passed away October 18, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was a retired nursing home assistant with the Georgia Street Nursing Home.
Mrs. Trusty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Trusty; her son, Donald "Duck" Ross; her granddaughter, Shanna Ross; her brothers, Bernell and Lois; and her, sister, Yoma Cannon.
Mrs. Trusty is survived by her daughter, Dewanna Lenard, son, Cecil Ross and wife, Robin, son, James "Rosie" Ross and wife, Debbie, daughter, Mitzi Shelton and husband Bruce, brother, Lloyd Lawrence, grandchildren, Wendy Bigelow, Bubba Miller, Rachel Anderson, Candice Demoss, Kaitlin Cameron, Ross Shelton, Chelsea, Nick, Adam and Patrick Ross, 10 great-grandchildren, and special friend, Jack Orr.
Pallbearers are her grandsons, Bubba, Ross, Adam, Patrick, Nick and nephew, Lance Kerrigan.
