Anna Ruth Jackson, age 80 of North tazewell, VA Formerly of Hartwell, WV died Sunday, October 17, 2004 at a Russell Co., VA nursing home.
She was born at Hartwell, WV and was a daughter of the late James Ben Lockhart and Martie Bowling Lockhart.
Ruth was a housewife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had faithfully attended the Hartwell Church of God and also attended Dial Rock Church Of God.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willis Stevenson and second husband Thomas Edward "Ed" Jackson. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survivors include: Daughter: Mitizi Fisher and husband Sam of Roanoke, VA
Sons: Ronnie Stevenson and wife Janice of Cedar Bluff, VA
Craig Jackson and wife Carolyn of Tazewell, VA
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral Services for Ruth Jackson will be conducted Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 1:00 pm. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, Va with Rev. Phil Combs officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview and Family will serve as pallbearers.
