DEATH.
MRS. S. ALEXANDER
Bertha Norden, wife of Samuel Alexander, the well known East Main street clothier, died suddenly at her residence, 196 Crown street, Wednesday afternoon at 4:10 o'clock of kidney troubles. While her death was very peaceful, it was unlooked for, as Mrs. Alexander had been up and around the house all day Tuesday.
Mrs. Alexander was 47 years of age. She was born in New York city, and twenty-three years ago, shortly after her husband started in business in this city, she came here to reside. Her generosity and kindness to those in need won for her a large circle of close friends. She was married in New York twenty-seven years ago, and besides her deeply grieved husband, is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A. W. Mansfield of New York, and two sons, Sidney, a graduate of the Meriden High school, and Gabriel, a mother, Mrs. E. Norden of New York, and three sisters, Mrs. E. J. Hanover of this city, Mrs. H. Dorsey of New York and Mrs. M. Schradzki of Pekin, Ill.; two brothers, H. M. Norden of New York, formerly of this city, and Joseph Norden of New York.
Mrs. Norden had been troubled with kidney complaint for several years, and the news of her death will be a shock to her many friends.
