Sister Digna Reis, age 89, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Saturday, 15th July, 2000, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Lillian Reis was born 9th November, 1910, in Whitelaw, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Mary Reimer Reis. She entered the convent in 1927 and professed her vows in 1930. Sister served as a homemaker. She also cared for the aged and performed a variety of services at Holy Family Convent.

Sister Digna Reis, age 89, a member of the Franciscan Ssiters of
Christian Charity, died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at
Holy Family Convent Chapel. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial
will be Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem, with burial in Holy Family
Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Lillian Reis was born November 9, 1910, in Whitelaw, daughter of the
late Ferdinand and Mary Reimer Reis. She entered the convent in 1927 and
professed her vows in 1930. Sister Digna served as a homemaker at St.
Edward, Mackville, St. Augustine, Chilton, St. James, Cooperstown, St.
Mary, Reedsville, St. Michael Whitelaw, St. Joseph, Green Bay and
Guardian Angels, West Point, Neb. She also cared for the aged at St.
Joseph Home, West Point, Neb. and performed a variety of services at
Holy Family Convent. She has been a resident of St. Rita Health Center
at the Motherhouse since 1970. She was a member of the Franciscan
Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity. Nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call at the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc from 4-8 p.m.
Tuesday, July 18, 2000. A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy
Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting with funeral arrangements.
