William R. Myers, 76, of Ford City, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Kittanning, a son of Eliott Myers and Josephine (Slease) Myers. He was a lifelong residents of the community. He worked in construction and carpentry work and ran his farm in the evenings. A lifetime member of the Burrell Township Volunteer Fire Department, he was a member of the Sheriffs Association. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Hannah (Jones) Myers; daughter, Rhonda Myers; and son, Patrick Meyers, all of Ford City. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at KENNEDY-BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 am. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Pastor Ralph Jones officiating. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery.
