Predeceased by his parents, Sam and Rose, brothers John, Salvannie, Oliver and Robert, sisters Kathleen Masi, Lucy Senkiw and Josephine Doherty. George is survived by his devoted wife Patricia, of over 53 years, his sons Vernon, Kevin, Martin, Bryan (Allison) and Quentin; grandson Sam; sisters Mary Knight and Jennie Oravec, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. George spent many years as a part of the Delta agricultural community before moving on to other endeavours including seafood processing and distribution. After moving to the Okanagan ten years ago, George has been actively involved in Real Estate Development. He lived his life with an unshakeable faith and always met challenges head on, positively affecting those who knew him. The family wishes to extend a huge thank you to Dr. Lewki, the Paramedics from the Westside & Kelowna Ambulance Service, the Westside Fire Department and the Doctors and Nurses at Kelowna General Hospital Emergency. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Corner of Highway 97 and Hebert Road, Westbank. Father Mark Schwab officiating. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church, 3900 Arthur Drive, Ladner, BC, at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 2. Interment to follow in family plot at Boundary Bay Cemetery.
