MRS. CALVIN ROGERS
Mrs. M. Leona Rogers, aged 79, of Cooperstown, RD 3, died Saturday morning, November 26 in the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, following a short illness.
She was born January 22, 1881, in Nicholson, Pa., the daughter of Minor and Addie (Thayer) Bellings. She was married to Calvin L. Rogers, who died May 24, 1937. Mrs. Rogers, a resident of the area for the past 44 years, graduated from Nicholson Public School in 1898 and later from Keystone Academy at Factoryville,Pa. She was a seamstress for many years,
Surviving are two sons, Gerald W. of Cooperstown, RD 3 and Carlton C. of Cooperstown : daughter, Mrs. Harry Quaif of Cooperstown several grandchildren; a greatgrandson and several cousins. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday from the Ingalls Funeral Home in Cooperstown, with the Rev. William A. Highfield,. pastor of the Cooperstown Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Fly Creek Cemetery.
