Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late John Edward Geddings and the late Addie Ethel Geddings.

Mrs. Geddings was twice married, first to the late Marshall W. Ardis and then to the late Phillip Campbell Johnson.

She was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Katherine; one sister, Camilla; four grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

My Tribute to a Life Lived for Others:
Standing barefoot at 4' 10" this little smiling, gracious, full of life daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt was deeply loved by everyone who knew her.

Later in life, and after the loss of her husband (lovingly known as "Sinkum") she married Phil Johnson and made a welcoming home for them on Wyboo at Santee.

She is the reason there is so much knowledge of our family genealogy. She is missed and loved every day!!
