Aquiles Trujillo Jr., age 80, resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1954, went peacefully home to be with our Lord and Savior on October 18, 2012.

Aquiles is survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Marie Rea-Trujillo, his dear daughter, Lorraine I. Trujillo, grandson, Dominic Trujillo-Grissom, brother, Matthew Trujillo, all of Albuquerque, NM.

Aquiles was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Aquiles served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Aquiles retired from Sandia National Laboratory. Aquiles was a long-time member of El Buen Samaritano UMC serving as a volunteer chaplain at UNMH and with homeless ministries in Albuquerque for over 35 years. Aquiles was a key part of developing LULAC and served as President.

Cremation has taken place and his life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at El Buen Samaritano UMC, 700 Granite NW, Albuquerque, NM, with Rev. Michael Dobbs, officiating. Interment will take place at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 9:45 a.m.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to El Buen Samaritano UMC (Homeless Ministry), 700 Granite NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
