Charles Joseph "Joe" Woodall, 58, of Gallipolis, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born November 25, 1953 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Frank E. Woodall, who preceded him in death in 1989 and Evelyn Virginia Burnette Woodall, who preceded him in death in 2003. Joe was married to Louise Baird Woodall and she survives him.

Joe retired with 40 years of service for the City of Gallipolis. He served as the water plant operator, maintenance superintendent, city manager and was currently the project coordinator for the city. He loved working for Gallipolis. He loved the Cincinnati Bengals and going to games. Joe loved bowling, golf, deer hunting, and watching grandkids sporting activities. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Woodall of Gallipolis;
five children, Joe "Skeeter" (Veronica) Woodall and Shelly (John) Tate, all of Gallipolis, Andrea (Mike) Preston of Bidwell, Chris (Christy) Somerville of Pt. Pleasant, WV and Tabby Somerville of Gallipolis;
fifteen grandchildren, Whitney, Ryan, and Hunter Terry, Jayla Preston, Joey, A.J. and Chloe Woodall, Preston Hudnall, Jessie and Christopher Hesson, Sierra and Emma Somerville, Wyatt, Sammi Jo and Savannah Halfhill;
two sisters, Tamara Darlene (Terry) Groves of Vinton and Joyce Marie (Mark) Banks of Pt. Pleasant, WV;
three brothers, John Paul Woodall and James Aaron Woodall, both of Gallipolis, Jerrod Matthew (Aimee) Woodall of Patriot;
a sister-in-law, Sally Woodall of Pt. Pleasant, WV;
several nieces and nephews and many friends.

In addition to his parents Frank E. and Evelyn Virginia Woodall, he was preceded in death by four brothers David L. Woodall, Frankie Woodall, Mark Anthony Woodall, Howard Stephen Woodall;
a sister, Crystal Ann Clary.

Service at the Willis Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Hood officiating. Burial in Mound Hill Cemetery.
