On Monday the 22nd inst., of pneumonia, Mrs. Zack Wheatley. The remains were interred at St. Charles Cemetery, Marion county.
When I recorded this cemetery in July 1979, I found this stone flat on the ground and broken. It said ROSELLER HAYDEN--Feb. 14,1858--Oct. 22, 1883. It was located in Section C, Card 31, #31.
I found that Roseller Hayden married W. Z. Wheatley in Marion County, KY, see Marion County, KY Marriage Register I, section I, page 100 in the County Clerk's Office in Lebanon, KY. The minister's return for this marriage showed that they were married February 12, 1878 at St. Augustine Church, Lebanon, KY by the Rev. Peter DeFraine in the presence of G. B. O'Neil and Ann Purdom. Researchers have not found the bond/license for this marriage.
Danny and Delores Bohn photographed this cemetery in 2011-2012 and did not find this tombstone.
NOTE: An edit from Steve McDonald on November 9, 2015 gave Thomas Hayden as her father.
