Isaac Newton Youart died at his home in Clark's Hill at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, of typhoid pneumonia. Mr. Youart was the son of James P. and Nancy K. Youart. He was born near Troy, Ohio, April 24, 1841, and moved with his parents to Montgomery county, when 15 years old. A year and a half later the family moved to Thorntown. In 1858 he united with the Christian church. He enlisted in the Seventeenth Indiana Infantry, company B. and served three years. He re-enlisted January 4, 1864 for the remainder of the war and was mustered out of service the first of August 1865. Mr. Youart belonged to the famous Wilder brigade. He was in several battles and was wounded three times. He was married to Mary C. Lydy, of Tipton county, March 1, 1866. To this union one son was born who died several years ago. His first wife lived only two years. He was married the second time to Catherine Olive Parish in October 1872. To this union nine children were born. Six children, with the mother, survive.
