2nd Lieutenant Rinne was the Navigator aboard U.S. Army Air Corps B-29-30-MO Superfortress #42-65347, nicknamed "Fortunes Follies." Killed when the bomber crashed shortly after takeoff from Tinian Island, for a mission to Japan. With the 6th Bomb Group, 24th Bomb Squadron.
