Ginger Delores Bates Willis, 57, of Muscle Shoals, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Tom Whatley officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Mrs. Willis was a native of Colbert County and a 1968 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School.
She was preceded in death by her father, Houston Osbirn Bates; mother, Delphia Estelle Rowe Bates; and brother, Jerry Bates.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Michael Willis, of Muscle Shoals; son, Joseph Michael Willis II and wife, Beverly, of Sheffield; daughter, Natalie Estelle Willis Barton and husband, Brian, of Muscle Shoals; brothers, Houston Frank "Buddy" Bates, of Waterloo, Ill., and Jessie "Pete" Bates, of Alabama; sisters, Lois Jean Adderholt, of Phil Campbell, Inez Barr, of Florence, Billie Jo Beard, of Sheffield, and Patricia Byers, of Missouri; grandchildren, Taylor and Andrew Barton, of Muscle Shoals, and Savannah Willis, of Sheffield.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Brown, Allen "Bunny" Smith, Harland Hallmark, Todd Grasham, Nathan Beard and Brian Barton.
