Juanita Allen Shaw Brown, age 91 of Ogden, Utah passed away on October 17, 2012 of natural causes. She was born on December 28, 1920 in Huntsville, Utah to Daniel Chester and Stella Hatch Allen. She grew up in Huntsville and graduated from Weber High School in Ogden.

She loved to sing and was involved in many musicals and programs while growing up. Juanita and her sister Adeline Hamilton sang together for years performing for church functions, funerals, rest homes, hospitals as well as the Sweet Adelines. Right after graduating from high school, a cancerous tumor was found almost causing her to lose her leg. Her fondest memory was of David O. McKay giving her a blessing before the doctors operated. She danced, worked, golfed and lived a full life with a perfect leg.

Juanita was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fulfilling many callings. Her favorite calling was working with the Young Women in the Harrisville Ward. She loved to crochet and sew and spent many hours making beautiful items for her family.

Juanita's first job was working with a dentist in Ogden. She worked for Coleman Knitting Mills starting as a seamstress and working her way to office manager. She was office manager for Sierra Lingerie and Westcoast Industries, and retired after 20 years as office manager for Dr. John Matis. Her greatest pleasure was meeting patients from that office who remember her many years later.

She married Norris James Shaw on October 25, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Norris passed away March 21, 1974. She was also preceded in death by her sister Adeline Hamilton and brother Chester Lavoir Allen.

Juanita married Jack R. Brown on January 25, 1975. They enjoyed many years golfing and traveling together, living in Bountiful then moving to North Ogden.
