She loved to sing and was involved in many musicals and programs while growing up. Juanita and her sister Adeline Hamilton sang together for years performing for church functions, funerals, rest homes, hospitals as well as the Sweet Adelines. Right after graduating from high school, a cancerous tumor was found almost causing her to lose her leg. Her fondest memory was of David O. McKay giving her a blessing before the doctors operated. She danced, worked, golfed and lived a full life with a perfect leg.
Juanita was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fulfilling many callings. Her favorite calling was working with the Young Women in the Harrisville Ward. She loved to crochet and sew and spent many hours making beautiful items for her family.

She was office manager for Sierra Lingerie and Westcoast Industries, and retired after 20 years as office manager for Dr. John Matis. Her greatest pleasure was meeting patients from that office who remember her many years later.
