Pvt.Weddel, Afton serviceman, was killed during WW II arrived in Vinita at 4:38 p.m. last Friday aboard a Katy train from the Fort Worth, Texas, distribution center.
He was 31 years old at the time of his death.
He was the son of Millard M.Weddel, Route 2, Afton. He spent the first 23 years of his life in Craig county and attended the Kelso school.
In addition to his father he was survived by a daughter, Mary Lee Weddel of Arizonia; one brother Theordore R.Weddel of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Lalicker and Mrs. Hazel M.Brinkley both of San Francisco, Mrs. Verlie M.Tate of Coffeyville, and Mrs.Bessie M.Barbour of Vinita.
