A lifelong county resident, Mrs. Hankins was a member of the Michigantown Christian Church. She graduated from Central Normal College, Danville, Ill., and taught school for five years in Randolph County near Farmland.
She was born February 10, 1901, in Clinton County, to Clement and Louisa (Cole) Fox. She married William Matthew Hankins on April 28, 1937, and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, Richard Wayne of Connersville; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Palmer of Barrington, Ill.; and four granddaughters.
The Rev. Michael D. Bratton will officiate services and burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery.
