Enos was killed April 9 when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his patrol vehicle in Bayji, Iraq. He left his wife, Shannon, and a six-month-old son, Marcus. He was remembered at Dartmouth High School for playing drum in the championship marching band, and by his family for his generosity, loyalty, and skill with his hands. He had re-enlisted in the Army after serving for four years. He was posthumously promoted to sergeant and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
