Mechanicville - Mrs. Mabel L. Althouse died at her home in Clifton Park this morning following a short illness.
Mrs. Althouse was born in Mechanicville Feb. 11, 1920, had lived in Clifton Park for 14 years. She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School and former employee of the Rensselaer County treasurer's office, Troy, member of the Clifton Park Methodist Church, Clifton Park Parkettes, member and past matron of Star of Liberty, OES, and Saratoga Court of Amaranth.
She is survived by her husband, Irving M. Althouse, a daughter, Janice K. and son, John H.; mother, Mrs. Mabel George, Mechanicville; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Lewis, West Milton; Mrs. Hazel Conerty, Mechanicville and Miss Bernice George, Albany; grandmother, Mrs. Louise Jones, Hemstreet Park, and several aunts and an uncle.
Funeral will be held at the residence at a time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the J.D.Dunn Funeral Home.
