Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 12, 1993, 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Rev. John Hains. Burial will be at the Holy Family Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Catherine Cecelia Olszewska was born January 9, 1898, at Trenton, N.J. She is the daughter of the late Michael and Frances Dymska Olszewski (sic). She entered the convent in 1914 and professed her vows in 1917. Sister earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Chicago Conservatory College. Sister Assisium served as a music teacher in Mackville, Oconto Falls, Hollandtown, Antigo, Sacred Heart, Holy Innocents, and Family Academy, Manitowoc, WI., Lindsay, Nebraska; Cambridge and Wellston, Ohio; Iron Mountain and Petoskey, Michigan; and Ayrashire, Iowa. After her retirement from active ministry, she resided at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville, Ohio and the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, WI. She was a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Fransiscan (sic) Sisters of Christian Charity, a sister, Agnes Kearns, Highstown, N.J., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Friday, June 11, 1993, from 4-8 p.m. at the Holy Family Convent. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at the Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Pfeffer Funeral Home Manitwooc (sic) is assisting with arrangements.
