Ray Oscar Harris was born in Buena Vista County, Iowa, August 5, 1890 and passed away at his home on April 27, 1953 at the age of 62. On December 3, 1913 he was untied in marriage to Agnes Olsen. To this union were born two children, Oscar and Evelyn (Mrs. John Geist) both of Newell. He farmed north of Newell until Sept. 1948 when they moved to Newell. He is survived by his wife, his son and daughter, two granddaughters, Denise and Susan Harris and one grandson,Johnny Ray Geist, two brothers, Howard of Lancaster, CA and Fay of Albert City. A sister Pricilla Hines preceded him in death.
