uncan Sr., Phillip L. - age 90 of Knoxville went to be with our Lord on Monday, October 16, 2012. He was a patriotic hero, and more importantly, an unconditionally loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He served in the US Army during WWII, worked as an aerospace and nuclear engineer at General Electric and TVA. He was a member of Erin Presbyterian Church and the 2010-2011 All American Commander of VFW Post 1733. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 69 years, Estelle Duncan; daughter, Marie Duncan; daughter and son-in-law, Millie and John Olson; son, Phillip Duncan Jr.; five grandchildren and spouses, Tom and Renee Davis; Chris and Kim Copelan; Meg Olson; Alex and Megan Olson; and Ricky Olson; four great grandchildren, Amani Al-Nossiff; Christine Copelan; Liesel and John Singleton; and Conor Davis and many nieces and nephews.
