Lydia was the daughter of Anthony Lax and Eliza Eve. In the 1850 census Anthony was in New Orleans by himself. Eliza and the children, Elizabeth 18, Henry 16, James 11, Alfred 8 and Lydia 6 arrived in New Orleans March of 1853 on the ship Naples of Bath. In steerage class from London,Eng. NoLa passenger list 1820-1945. Lydia married first Roland Thomas Kinney. They had one daughter. Henrietta Kinney Mayfield 1865-1952. Then she married John Frederick Bennett in Abt. 1868. They had 9 children. He is buried in Medlin Cemetery, Roanoke, Denton, TX.
