Bradford for the last 40 years, died
Tuesday in Warren where he had
been making his home recently.
Death was ascribed to a heart
ailment.
Born in Millerstown , Nov. 23,
1879, Mr. Root had been an oil
welldriller. He lived here at 21
Davis St.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Ernest Hottinger, San Francisco;
a son, John, in Canada, and a sist-
er, Mrs. Charles Maloney, Bradford.
Funeral services will be cond-
ucted at 2 p. m., today in the J. A.
Still Funeral Home by the Rev.
Clement B. Yinger, pastor of First
Methodist Church. Burial will take
place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
