Erick Bieritz, of Ottawa, IL, formerly of Yorkville, IL, passed away at the Community Hospital of Ottawa. He was born in Yorkville, the son of Herman and Minnie (Freise) Bieritz, Sr. Mr. Bieritz was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville. He was self-employed as a plumber and heating contractor in Yorkville for many years.

Survivors included his brother, Walter (Elorn) Bieritz of Yorkville; a sister-in-law, Ruth Bieritz of Joliet; several nieces and nepherws, John (Lise) Bieritz of Downers Grove; Dr. Wesley (Sue) Bieritz of Danville; David (Kathryn) Bieritz of Sterling, VA; Gerald (Sheryl) Bieritz of Big Sandy, TX, Carolyn (Jay) Lelshyn of Evergreen Park, FL; Robert (Pat) Sullivan of Yakima, WA; Vernice (Al) Hedman of Coeur D'Alene, ID; Deborah Leppert of Austin, TX; Lyle (Betty) Hardecopf of Yorkville; and Delores (Dale) Dierzen of Sandwich; as well as many friends who will miss him.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mabel, on February 21, 1983, four brothers, George Bieritz, Gerhardt Bieritz, Reuben Bieritz, and Herman Bieritz, Jr.; six sisters, Evelyn Hardecopf, Rhoda Bieritz, Anna Sullivan, Esther Bieritz, Irene Bieritz, and Ruth Bieritz.The pallbearers were Erick Bieritz, Gerald Bieritz, Lyle Hardecopf, Virgil Lippold, Raymond Merkel, and Kenneth Walker.

Funeral services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The officiating pastor was Rev. John M. Leaf. The organist was Mrs. Karen Hardecopf; and the soloist was Mr. Gerald Bieritz.
