Pvt. U.S. Army, World War One-Pvt. Mitchell died of the Spanish Flu on 10-14-1918 while stationed at Camp Mills, Long Island, New York. He previously was stationed at Camp Wheeler, Georgia were he did his initial training.

He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. James Mitchell of Delavan, Illinois. He does leave one sister, Mrs. Frank Coggins.

Awards: WWI Victory Medal.
