Eliza was the daughter of Eliza Jane Gingell and John Samuel Barton. She married Albert Daily Robb on March 20 1900 in Paragonah. She and Albert had nine children: Samuel Barton, Albert Melvin, Orion Wayne, Mabel Geneva, Marion Milton, Nephi Clark, John Lefay, William D. and Eliza.

ON June 5 1926 two sons, Marion and Clark, were herding sheep for their father. Clark took a ride to check on a pond which was a part of their daily routine. When he got back to camp his brother was missing, but he found Marions horse and saddle all covered in blood. He rode to the nearest homestead, and three men went to look for Marion. There was still no sight of him but they found more blood and some bits of white cloth. Two men went back to Paragonah by car and notified the family and had the church bell rung to gather the townspeople. A search was organized, but the boy remained missing.

On Oct 28 1933. seven years after he disappeared, Marions remains were found, wire wrapped around his head holding fabric as a gag. Marions arms were wired behind him, and his legs also bound with wire. It was never discovered who had abducted him.

Eliza never fully recovered from this tragedy in her family. Her heart was broken for the rest of her life.
