"We find that during the past year that nine of our brethren and sisters have passed away. Dallas church lost two brothers; C.H Eddlemon died August 1st, 1897. Brother Eddlemon was a model Christian, loved and respected by all who knew him. He was clerk and deacon of his church at the time of his death. Sister Cross, wife of Milton Cross, died in April, 1897."
