MaVurleen loved to have company in her home. She would prepare large amounts of hot, delicious food and serve it to all. The more visitors, the happier she would be. Then we would sit around the living room and talk until past our usual bedtime. Her home was large, but not nearly as large as her capacity for love, for caring.

What pride she took in her home! She loved to paint and fix up her home, especially paint. She was always cleaning one room or another. She did not enjoy winter, but would look forward to spring. Mom was a great gardener. Her flowers and front yard was her "heaven on earth." People have told us they looked forward to driving through Spring City just to see Vurleen's flowers

Even more than her home and flowers, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. How she enjoyed our visits. She would sit for hours listening t us relate our activities. Quite often she would interrupt long enough to give us some advice and Mother's counsel. Whenever we would say, "Be sure to bring your Sunday clothes. I want to show you off at Sacrament Meeting." About the only thing we couldn't interrupt was the Lawrence Welk program. She really enjoyed her Tv and Lawrence was her favorite. She looked forward to her Sunday night visit with her friends–especially Edith, Ireta, and Lavon. She did enjoy meeting with the members of her social club.

Her children were: Marcell Vee Osborne Tucker, Pratt Venoy Osborne, Orson Devon Osborne, Theone Osborne Nielson, Thelma Osborne Rigby, Kenneth Osborne
