Obituary: Semeon Benoit -- Funeral services for Semeon "Big Ben" Benoit, 68, of 4113 Benoit Lane will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. || The Rev. Ernest Walker, pastor of Sale Street Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. || Mr. Benoit died at 10 a.m. Saturday at a local Hospital. || A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, he was a 30-year member of Electrical Workers Local 861, having retired in 1974. He was a member of Sale Street Baptist Church. || Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Olga Benoit; one son, Ernest Benoit; three daughters, Mrs. Elaine Swire, Mrs. Faye Stailey and Mrs. Yvonne Doga; one brother, Valmont Benoit; two sisters, Mrs. Azema Guidry and Mrs. Lenora Davies, all of Lake Charles; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
