Roscoe G., aged 2 years, 1 month and 15 days, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. John Goodwin, of near Winfield, died on Monday, September 25th 1916, at 1:30 P.M.. He was playing with his brother on a drag sleigh on which Mr. Goodwin was hauling potatoes to the cellar. He caught his toe, falling off the sleigh and hit his head against the cellar door, breaking his neck. He died instantly.
Funeral was held Wednesday at Ebenezer, Rev. C. H. Wagner officiating. Interment in adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers were: James Bushey, Walter Bowers, Teddy Barnes and William Frizzell. C. M. Waltz, funeral director.
