Bay City—Louis “Chickie” Acosta Sr., 55, of Bay City, died Monday, May 27, 2002.

He was born April 24, 1947, in Bay City, to the late Baldomero and Estella Gomez Acosta. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors: wife, Gloria Zepeda Acosta; daughter, Nancy Renee Rodriguez of Austin; sons, Louis Acosta Jr. and Randy Acosta, both of Houston and Ronnie Acosta of Austin; sister, Esther Acosta and Ann Cervantez, both of Bay City, and Alicia Villarreal of Corpus Christi; brothers, Abel Acosta of Victoria, John Gilbert Acosta and Joe Anthony Acosta, both of Bay City, and Albert Acosta of Houston; and eight grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; and sisters, Estella Sivas, Katy Charles and Lucia Del los Santos.

A rosary will be recited 7 p. m. tonight at Taylor Bros. Funeral home chapel.

Services will be 10 a. m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Rev. Edward Boren officiating.

Burial will be at Cedarvale Cemetery. Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, 979-245-4613.
