Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Convent Chapel,
the Rev. Ronald Kirk, O. Praem, officiating. Burial will be in the convent
cemetery.
Sister Martina was born Nellie Murphy Jan. 10, 1873, at Ishpeming, Mich.,
daughter of the late James and Mary Hugh Murphy. She entered the Franciscan
Order Jan. 2, 1897, and professed her vows Aug. 10, 1899. She was well known
in the Manitowoc area, having been purchaser for the convent.
She is survived by a brother, Daniel, of Ironwood, Mich.
Friends may call at the convent from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
